Product Background:
Palm Kernel Shell or PKS are the shell fractions left after the crushing and expelling of palm kernel oil of the palm tree. The outer fruit known as the Mesocarp Fiber, is removed and extracted to produce palm oil leaving the nut which consists of a kernel surrounded by a woody shell also known as Palm Kernel Shell.
Woosam only sources our palm by-products from the members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), which is a non-profit organization set up by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil and its by-products.

Product Description:
Palm Kernel Shell is one of the top emerging biomass fuels consumed globally.
From its raw and unprocessed form, Palm Kernel Shells needs to be processed in order to reduce the high amount of contaminants such as impurities, bacteria, insects and moisture content. The processed PKS have a higher calorific values and a longer shelf life, which optimizes combustion efficiency.
